St.Patrick's Day will happen without a parade in Buffalo again this year. But don't let that dampen your spirits and bring you down. There is a way for you to make some extra money while you enjoy some time off from work.

One of the most popular whiskey brands that people drink on St. Patrick's Day is Jameson and they are offering you cash for taking the day off on March 17th.

According to the report, Jameson Whiskey wants to pay $50 to 1,000 fans who take the day off work to celebrate. The Irish whiskey brand says a break is needed now more than ever. Jameson will also make a donation to restaurant workers. The contest runs through March 7th.

The COVID pandemic has made it tough to celebrate the way we did in the past. As a matter of fact, it was a St. Patrick's Day eve party that we hosted in East Aurora in 2020 that was the last time I was out on an event with the radio station. The shutdown began that weekend and the following week and we have not been able to do any large scale events since.

There is hope for this year as the summer will bring more things for us to be a part of including a weekly country night on the beach at Woodlawn Beach. Until then, have a drink or two and celebrate the luck of the Irish in a safe and virtual way.
