John La Mond Emcee’s ECC Scholarship Luncheon

One of my favorite Steely Dan songs is "My Old School".  Tomorrow I am going back to my old school Erie Community College for a very special occasion.  ECC President Jack Quinn has invited me back to the college to emcee the annual ECC Scholarship Luncheon.  I am both humbled and honored to be a part of such an exciting event.

Back in September of 2010, ECC awarded me a Distinguished Alumni Award.  Even though I hold a bachelor's degree from another local college, I have always felt I received my best education from Erie Community College.  We even filmed my television show "Chef Challenge" at ECC's North Campus in the Culinary Arts Department.  I consider myself very lucky to continue to be a part of such a wonderful learning institution.  Thank you Erie Community College!
