Who could go for a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa on a Sunday morning?  At this point, you cannot buy alcohol in New York State at bars or restaurants on a Sunday before noon.  But Governor Cuomo is trying to change that. He's pushing to make that time a little earlier, by allowing sales after 8 a.m. instead.

Why would he push for this? A couple reasons. The first being that the law is very old. It began in the 1930's and a lot has changed since then.

It would certainly help out restaurants, bars, breweries and wineries that could add business during those hours. The governor argues that it will create income and bring tourists to the area.

I'm for it! Especially between the months of August and January. Yup...those are football season months and it would be nice to go out before a game and be able to get a drink.

Not everyone is for the push.  How about you?  Do you think they should change the hours that we are legally allowed to purchase alcohol at bars and restaurants?
