NFL Analyst Says Bills Are “Not a Super Talented Offense”

The Buffalo Bills are on pace to make the playoffs for a fourth consecutive season and the fifth playoff appearance in six years.

The Bills fortunes turned around when they drafted Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen at 7th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

While Allen's rookie year featured a lot of growing pains, the signs were there he could be great. He made a big leap in 2019 and the exploded into a superstar in 2020 and 2021.

The Bills have been the best offense in the NFL, other than the Kansas City Chiefs in terms of yards and points, since 2020. Allen is a huge part of that, as if star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

However, if you have paid attention to the Bills offense over the last four or five weeks, then you know they have had problems. Many fans believe they need help at wide receiver and the offensive line has had its issued.

One NFL analyst believes the Bills are "not a super talented offense," and he's one of the most respected names in terms of football coverage.

NFL Matchup and NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell was a guest on Ross Tucker's podcast this week and said that the Bills offense is not super talented and that it really is because of how great Josh Allen is for why they have been good.

Cosell says the Bills don't have a good offensive line and outside of one very good receiver, have just a bunch off guys after that.

I think Cosell is right. Allen masks some of the limitations from the offense.

Gabe Davis can have big games but he's also had games he has been a total non-factor this season. We have heard about his limited route-tree and it appears the Bills do need another outside option, like Odell Beckham Jr.

The Bills offense is very good and they have a stud at quarterback...but it's okay to be critical of that offense and what Cosell said is accurate.
