If you are born in Buffalo chances are you root for the Buffalo Bills, but one famous Buffalo family are not members of Bills Mafia.

This family grew up in Amherst and were big fans of the Buffalo Bills until April 22nd, 2010. That is when a life-changing moment happened and this family went from rooting for the Bills to rooting for one of their arch-rivals.

So what happened on April 22nd, 2010? That was the date of the 2010 NFL draft and that is when the New England Patriots drafted former Will North stand-out Rob Gronkowski in the 2nd round at pick 42, just one pick after the hometown Buffalo Bills selected defensive tackle Torell Troup.

Rob's brother Chris Gronkowski was asked on his Instagram page if the Gronks are Bills fans since they grew up in Buffalo. He said there were until 2010.

Chris said that the Gronkowski's chose blood over the Bills and were going to root for their family over their hometown team.

It has worked out well for them as Rob has gone on to have a Hall of Fame career with New England and now in Tampa Bay.

As for Bills Mafia? Torell Troup played only two seasons in Buffalo before getting injured and being released by the Bills in 2012. He had a career total of 31 tackles and was out of the league by 2014.

So will the Gronkowski's come back to Bills Mafia when Rob retires? Fingers crossed we will one day see a Gronk jump thru a table in zubas!
