According to WGRZ Weather, heavy lake effect snow is possible next week for Western New York. It's going to be a warm Monday with all-day rain but a massive cold front on Tuesday will drop temperatures and fire up lake effect snow late Tuesday night and lasting all day Wednesday.

"...some areas could see well over a foot if not more"

Wow...over a foot of snow! Right now, it's too early to forecast exactly where the lake effect bands will set up but the southtowns and ski country could see the greatest impact, according to WGRZ.

But it's not guaranteed the snow will miss the Buffalo metro...

Either way, it looks to be the kind of snowfall to make preparations for.
