It seemed like it was never going to stop snowing on Saturday in the Southtowns and Boston Hills. We live just south of the Hamburg Fairgrounds and it seemed to pile up faster than it has in a long time. But what was the official total? It depends on where you live.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has a few trained spotters that help them layout the totals from town to town in Western New York. The area around Boston and Colden got well over 30 inches in just a 24 hour period.

Your roof may have taken on a lot of snow with this storm. There was not a lot of wind with all of that snow and it seemed to just stack up. I saw many people on roofs on Sunday in the sunshine trying to get the snow shoveled off. I haven't seen that much snow in our area since the Snowvember storm we had a few year ago.

Things are warming up and there will be a burst of snow to begin the week around the Buffalo area.
