The eligibility for getting a COVID vaccine has been expanded for those 16 and older in New York State. With the highest positive COVID rate in New York, WNY is under pressure to get a vaccine and if you are looking for the single dose "J&J" shot, Wegman's stores have them.

According to the reports, as if Tuesday, Wegman's will be scheduling Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines for customers 18 and older. Appointments are going to be available from April 8th through the 14th and can be booked through the company's website after 2p-m.

The good news is that more and more people are getting an appointment and many are already vaccinated. However, experts warn that virus fatigue and lack of social distancing may be leading to a surge in the area. There is also a concern for new strains of the virus.

Earlier this week, bowling centers, movie theaters and casinos were allowed to stay open later than the previous 11pm curfew. Those who want a late night workout can also get in to their favorite gym after 11pm as well.

There are many options for those who would like to get a vaccine and hopefully the majority can be vaccinated before the start of summer!
