And it's only going to get worse. Factors range from politics to seasonal changes and grades of gasoline.

According to Metro Source News:

Gas prices are continuing to rise in Buffalo.  According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is two-61.  That's a four cent increase in the last week and 11 cent jump in the last month.  The state average is sitting at two-70 while nationally it's at two-62.

The summer prices are typically higher than the rest of the year. Expect the increase to continue for a few weeks.
