They're everywhere and if you spot them in your house it's not a good thing! Stick Bugs, or Halyomorpha halys, is an invasive insect from Asia that came to Pennsylvania in 1996. They got the name stink bug because when they're "disturbed or crushed" they give off an odor. Basically, you don't want these flying around your house or making it their home.

The good news is there is a really simple, cheap and very effective way to get rid of them. Here's what you need:

  • A large aluminum foil pan
  • Water and dish soap
  • A desk light to attract the bugs

Basically put the dish soap and water in the pan and then shine the light near it and keep the room dark. The bugs will be attracted to the light and end up trapped in the water and well, you know the rest.

According to a Research Team at Virginia Tech, this method will work better than anything you can buy at the store! So worth a try with the money it will save you!
