As Americans, it's important that we remember and honor the people who died on September 11th, 2001.  Here is a list of places to do just that.

It's hard to believe that it's already been 18 years since that tragic event where two planes crashed into the twin towers in New York City and another crashed over a field in Pennsylvania.  But we still haven't forgotten.

Each year, we take time to remember the innocent lives that were lost.

This year, if you'd like to find a memorial to visit and reflect on the day, there's an entire database that is filled with memorials across the country for that very reason.

It's called The Memorials Registry and it tracks 9/11 memorials throughout the world.

"It is a testament to the global impact of 9/11 and the diverse ways in which individuals and communities have continued to commemorate the victims and remember the attacks."

It's not surprising to see the numerous memorials across our country, but you might be surprised to see them across the sea too in places like the UK, Spain, Italy, Poland, and more.
