If somehow you haven't heard, Western New York now has a shiny (literally) new stadium for the home of the Buffalo Bills, and since it opened, many people have been very critical of it. Now, it looks like they're starting to clap back a bit.

Where did this all start?

It may have started even earlier with people who hated the idea of a new stadium being built in Western New York. While it sounds cool to have this fancy new piece of architecture here, the over $2 billion price tag didn't sit well with a lot of people. That was the source of a lot of criticism.

The other reason was that when most people hear they're going to be spending that much on a new stadium, they expect it to be perfect. So, the minute the stadium opened, people started to criticize what was wrong with the stadium, instead of celebrating all the things that were great about it. They talked about obstructed views, the size of the jumbotron (which I thought was fine), and the quality of the grass.

I was guilty of this myself. On my first visit to the stadium, I was very impressed. The thought that went into every little detail there was incredible. But instead of starting with that, the one thing I said to people was how high the 300 section felt and how dangerous it could be if someone fell. It wasn't even close to the overwhelming feeling I got when I left there, but it was the most shocking thing to me, so that's what I often ended up talking about. I shouldn't have led with that.

Now, it feels like Highmark has to defend itself

It feels like people are simply looking for what's wrong with the stadium and picking them apart for every little thing instead of enjoying it for what it is. Earlier this week someone noticed that the logo appeared to have peeled off of its frame and pointed it out. It turns out, they were doing maintenance on it. That's why it looked the way it did. They explained that in a tweet.

Today, they tried to get ahead of the criticism by pointing out this flaw.

I mean...it's kind of petty, right? But in the best way possible. Just look at the smiley/winky face emoji. It's pretty hilarious if you ask me. Good for them for having a little fun with it.

If you haven't gotten a chance to check this stadium out, don't knock it until you've seen it. This place is going to be electric, and I honestly believe we're going to have some of our best memories there as a fan base.
