Another Record Has Been Broken In Western New York
A new record has been set in Western New York, and it’s all thanks to country music.
It was only a few weeks ago when Luke Combs had back-to-back shows at Highmark Stadium, but do you remember the overall hype from the media and the news across town? Everybody was talking about the two Luke Combs concerts at the stadium.
There were a handful of reasons why everyone had their eye on Orchard Park that weekend. Schools were getting out early, traffic was a concern, and it was the first time that an artist had sold out back-to-back shows at the stadium since 1984.
Thousands of people flocked to the stadium that weekend for the shows, and it was enough to break a record!
Luke Combs performed to a record-breaking number of people over the course of those two days. In total, the two-night attendance at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo was 99,671, which was good enough to break the attendance record!
It’s such a cool thing to be able to say that country music made it happen in Buffalo, but the list of star-studded performers definitely helped. Hailey Whitters, The Avett Brothers, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jordan Davis, and several country upcomers helped Luke Combs put on two of the most memorable shows at Highmark Stadium ever.
It helps when the performers embrace the Buffalo community. Hailey Whitters did the classic “Hey Ey Ey Ey!” while wearing a Bills jacket, Jordan Davis was out tailgating in the parking lots before the show, and Luke Combs wore some Bills Mafia gear.
Someone from Buffalo is going to get another chance to see Luke Combs on tour. You could be headed to Phoenix, AZ with airfare, hotel, and $500 spending cash including! See the full rules and details when you click here.
