Highmark Stadium Will Have A New Look This Season [PHOTOS]
A sign that says "Highmark Stadium" (the home of the Buffalo Bills) is finally at the front of the stadium. But today, there are even more changes happening.
Over the last couple of years, we've seen a bunch of changes at the stadium where the Bills play. We've seen the name change from Rich Stadium, to Ralph Wilson Stadium, then New Era Field and Bills Stadium. We've seen the upgrades from new turf to more expanded concourse areas. The color scheme even changed a bit a few years back where much of the stadium was painted black (right down to the logos over the gates).
And most recently...the Bills are good again. That's a huge change! So after missing most of last season (aside from a limited few in the playoffs) fans are going to be excited to head back to the stadium.
Today we can see they're doing some work on the stadium to get ready for fans again.
There are 4 tower-like structures around the outside of the bowl. They've started some work on them today. The two on the south side of the stadium look as though they've already gotten plywood put on them. Then a waterproofing paint and a layer of foam.
At this point, we can't tell if they'll be painted black again or if they'll remain white.
As I walked around the stadium there are still a couple of instances where signage will have to be changed to reflect the new stadium moniker.
I kind of liked the black on the stadium. It made a stadium that has become one of the older ones in the league look at least a little more modern. Do you prefer the black on the stadium? Or would you prefer if it had more white on it?
