Patrick Hammer Gets Spooked On Live TV

WGRZ meteorologist Patrick Hammer was doing a live report in the studio when an uninvited guest appeared live on his camera shot. Check out his reaction when a spider popped up in the frame of his camera shot of downtown Buffalo.

Of course, the spider is not massive, but because of the camera angle, the spider looked massive. Apparently, the spider's home is inside the camera lens because Patrick Hammer mentioned this was the second time the spider has popped up during a live shot.

More Rain Expected In Western New York

So what do you need to wash the spider away? Rain, and we will get plenty of it across the region today.

Heavy rain hit the Southtowns and the Southern Tier yesterday, and it will return later this afternoon. Pop-up showers and heavy thunderstorms are expected to move into the area this afternoon, with most of the rain staying south of the City of Buffalo.

More widespread rain across Western New York is expected on Friday and into the weekend as well. It looks like the nicest day of the weekend, weather-wise, will be on Sunday, when we can expect sunny skies and a high near 80.
