When you become a parent one of the toughest things to do is come up with a name for your new bundle of joy.

Some people like to honor someone in their lives like a grandparent or mentor and name their baby after them.

Some people like classic names and some people, like me, go for a name is that unique.

When my son was born in 2005, my wife and I were trying to find a name that we both liked. I was all about the name Flint. To me, it was different, fun, and a name that someone wouldn't forget. My wife was looking at something unique, a name that would stand out.

After much discussion, we landed on Avry for our son's name. We both like the name, there were many people who had it that we knew, and to be different we dropped the "e" from the traditional spelling of the name AVERY to just AVRY, so now my son can never find a name mug at Disney with his name on it.
