The blockbuster trade for Amari Cooper wasn’t the only major move the Buffalo Bills made this week that could cause a massive shake up to their lineup, and causing one particular player to feel the pressure.

It’s no secret that the eyes of Buffalo Bills fans have been set on Tyler Bass this season. It became glaringly obvious after Bills GM Brandon Beane recently commented that Bass “would be the first to tell you it hasn't gone the way he would like it, and quite frankly, the way we like it,” that the starting kicker’s job was not exactly safe.

Buffalo Bills Sign New Kicker

After hosting several potential players workouts, the Bills signed Lucas Havrisik, who went 15/20 in field goals and 19/22 for extra points in nine games with the LA Rams last season, to the practice squad earlier this week. Admittingly, Havrisik’s numbers aren’t too far off of what we’ve seen from Bass this season (9/12 FG and 18/20 extra points, respectively), however, it's his inconsistency since last season that has management and Bills fans concerned.

Who could forget that heartbreaking missed kick in the Bills divisional round loss last January against the Kansas City Chiefs? We sure can’t, and it doesn’t look like Bass has, either.

Tyler Bass Comments On New Bills Kicker

When approached by WGRZ about Havrisik’s signing, Bass didn’t hold back, and seemed understanding as to why the new kicker was added to the squad, admitting that some of his performances this year “haven’t been great, and not the results we’ve desired.”

He continued,

“You understand it, man. It’s a business…it’s a results-based league, and at the end of the day you’ve gotta just keep putting in your work and control what you can control.”

We’re all anxious to see how Bass reacts to the heat on him this Sunday back at home at Highmark Stadium against the Titans, because even though fans are frustrated lately, we really are pulling for him to succeed.
