It has now become a trend as the Town of Seneca has become the 3rd town in Western New York to lift its overnight winter parking ban early.

Most towns in Western New York have an overnight parking ban on town streets to allow for snowplows to clear the snow. Most towns have the ban in place from the middle of November to the beginning of April.

West Seneca now joins the Town of Cheektowaga and the Town of Tonawanda as places in Western New York to lift the overnight parking ban.

Looking ahead over the next couple of days, we will see warmer than average weather and it looks like March will be another warmer month so we could see more towns and even the City of Buffalo lift the overnight parking ban before the usual April 1st date.

Officials in West Seneca, Tonawanda, and Cheektowaga do ask that if we do get another snowstorm park off the streets if possible so plows can move freely to clear the roads.
