After a nice sunny summer day on Monday in Western New York, things will take a turn weather-wise across the 716. While we will start off calm this morning, a storm front is expected to shake things up over the next couple of days.

Severe Weather This Week Across Western New York

Tuesday morning will start off with decent weather with mostly sunny skies, but that will change starting this afternoon and will continue over the next several days. Rain and possible strong thunderstorms are expected to move through Western New York this afternoon, around 3 pm. That means it could be a messy afternoon commute in the 716.

The rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds will continue tomorrow as well and into Thursday and Friday. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a severe weather alert for most of Western New York for the next several days. If you plan on being outdoors, you should be weather aware, as pop-up storms could bring hail and damaging winds across Western New York.

Cool Start To The Weekend In Western New York

After some very hot and humid days this week, we will start to cool down in Western New York as we head into the weekend. A cold front is expected to move in on Friday, and that will drop our high temperatures by 10 degrees.
