Joe Buck + Troy Aikman In Hot Water After Comments Aired On TV By Mistake
Joe Buck + Troy Aikman mics were apparently still on when they said something that has gotten a lot of attention this morning. The words came during the Sunday Night game when the Green Bay Packers were spanking Tom Brady and the Bucs.
The military jets were doing a fly over right before kickoff when Aikman and Joe Buck were making the comments.
Here's what they said:
Aikman: “That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover.”
Buck: “That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work.”
Aikman: “That stuff ain’t happening with Kamala-Biden ticket, I’ll tell you that right now partner.

Apparently, it costs about $60,000 to do a flyover:
The Washington Post estimated last April that flyovers by Blue Angels (U.S. Navy) and Thunderbirds (Air Force) squadrons cost at least $60,000 per hour. The Post published that figure within a story about President Donald Trump's plan for flyovers above nearly two dozen U.S. cities to salute front-line workers treating COVID-19 patients. The money would have come from the Pentagon's budget, a senior military official told the Post', according to SportingNews.com.
We always say at Clay and Company you have to ALWAYS assume a mic is on. There are way too many times you see good, professional broadcasters have a slip up, no matter what your opinion is on certain issues.
