The Buffalo Bills are in the midst of mandatory minicamp at One Bills Drive in Orchard Park. Tomorrow is the third and final day of the minicamp, before the players get some rest and relaxation.

Training camp report day for veterans is in the last week of July, while the start of the regular season will be on September 11th at the New York Jets. That will be a Monday Night Football game.

The Bills have gone through the 17-year playoff drought, to a powerhouse in the NFL. That's due to mostly Josh Allen, although Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane deserve a lot of the credit for shaping the roster and culture.

Since 2003, John Murphy has been the play-by-play man for the Bills. He was the analyst for former play-by-play man Van Miller through the 2022 season, before taking over as the full-time announcer.

Murph has been the voice of the Bills for an entire generation of Bills fans but that run might be coming to an end, at least for the 2023 season.

The Buffalo News is reporting that Murphy texted reporter Alan Pergament that he still has not decided yet if he will come back this season. That decision will be made in late July.

Murphy suffered a stroke towards the end of last season, before the eventual canceled January 2nd game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Health is the most important thing and Bills fans will support Murphy with whatever decision he makes. I only remember Van Miller for one or two seasons as the Bills play-by-play man. Murph is who I have grown up with.

Chris Brown is expected to step in, like he did at the end of last season, alongside Eric Wood (color commentator).

Get well, Murph!
