The NFLPA released the jersey sales numbers for the start of 2022, and the Buffalo Bills QB is inching his way closer to the top of the list.

Last time we checked, according to the NFL Players Association Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen's number 17 jersey was the third most popular jersey sales-wise in the entire league for the period of March 2021 through February 2022. Allen sat behind Tama BayBucs QB Tom Brady and Kansas City Cheifs QB Patrick Mahomes.

My, how the times have changed.  The NFLPA release its sales numbers yesterday for the start of 2022.  And much like a defensive back while he is scrambling, Josh Allen leaped all the way up to the number two spot on the list.

Players who moved to new teams saw the biggest jumps, as Broncos QB Russel Wilson (Traded from Seattle Seahawks) moved from #26 to #1, and Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (Traded from Green Bay Packers) jumped from #33 to #3.

Patrick Mahomes dropped from #2 to #9.  And Tom Brady dropped from #1 to #5 in the latest rankings.

One other player of note on the list is Pittsburgh Steelers' Quarterback Kenny Pickett at #4.  Pickett was the Steelers' first-round choice in the 2022 NFL draft, being selected with the 20th overall pick.  Pickett played his college football for the University of Pittsburgh, so the hometown love makes sense.  But he is not guaranteed to be the week one starter as he is in a battle with former Buffalo Bill Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph to be the successor to long-time Steelers QB Ben Rothlisberger.

It would be strange to have a backup have one of the NFL's top-selling jerseys.
