Josh Allen Suddenly Elects To Skip The Pro Bowl Again
Some of the league's biggest stars are opting to skip the Pro Bowl again, including Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
What used to be one of the league's highest honors is now getting skipped by some of it's biggest stars. This year, not only are they missing all of the players that will be playing in the Super Bowl, but names like Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, and Josh Allen will all be skipping it.
They've each got their own reasons for choosing not to play. It looks as though Josh Allen's is a banged up wrist that he got during a 2 point conversion try in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs just last week. Although he's never chosen to play in the Pro Bowl. This is the third time he's been invited with the other two in 2020 and 2022. He declined playing in each of those two games also.
Replacing Jackson and Allen on the AFC side will be Pittsburgh Steelers' Russell Wilson and New England Patriots' rookie sensation Drake Maye.
The game will have some Bills representing their team there though as Dion Dawkins, James Cook, and Connor McGovern have all been invited to play.
The Pro Bowl just isn't what it used to be. With so many players choosing to skip it and them not even playing tackle football anymore it feels as though a lot of people are less interested. Although the skills competitions are still fun to watch, the Pro Bowl has lost its luster. But hey, at least we get a taste of football on our first weekend where there is technically no football game scheduled.
