Judge Vetoes Parents’ Baby Name + I Didn’t Even Think It Was That Bad
Now, mayybbbeeee I'm biased.
I have been obsessed with Nutella for my entire life. Would I name my kid that? Probably not. Should these parents be able to name their kid Nutella? Hell yes.
A baby in the French city of Valenciennes was recently named for the chocolate-hazelnut spread, but a local judge renamed her Ella.
“The name ‘Nutella’ given to the child is the trade name of a spread,” the judge ruled, according to Time’s translation. “And it is contrary to the child’s interest to be wearing a name like that can only lead to teasing or disparaging thoughts.”

In France though, they outlaw names that might subject a child to ridicule.
What do you think? Should she have been able to keep her name?
