You Can Play In The World Kan Jam Championship In Buffalo
Buffalo, New York is famous for a lot of things, like chicken wings, tons of snow, and the ultimate underdogs that deserve a Super Bowl title, the Buffalo Bills. But The City Of Good Neighbors is also famous for inventing one of the most popular summer staple activities– Kan Jam.
Kan Jam, invented right here in Western New York by four friends from Tonawanda, exploded in popularity in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, and is now a viable staple throughout the country at tailgates, barbecues, and anywhere you can find an outdoor summer outing in nice weather.

The premiere deflect (the “official” name of the sport of Kan Jam) tourney will be held this Saturday, August 24that Buffalo RiverWorks, where teams throughout the U.S. will be competing for Kan Jam/Discflect glory.
Both amateurs and pros (yes, there are unbelievably “pro” Kan Jam players) will compete for a minimum prize of $1,000, as well as the bragging rights of being the top Kan Jam dog in the city where it was birthed.
Players of all skill levels are encouraged to play and attend, and there are still room for more teams to compete! You can register here, just remember—no pushing your opponent into the can, no matter how much it might improve your aim. That’s just rude.
