Kellie Pickler‘s talents aren’t just limited to onstage performances — the down-home country girl is a whiz in the kitchen, too! On Thursday (August 16), the country star will prove that she can cook when she guest stars on ABC’s ‘The Chew.’

In the special country-style edition of the show, Pickler will spend some time in the kitchen with chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon and Carlie Hall as they whip up healthy summertime dishes with fruits and vegetables that come straight from the farmer’s stands. Health and wellness expert Daphne Oz will be on hand to talk about how the fresh meals can improve your health.

Pickler will squeeze her appearance on ‘The Chew’ into her already busy schedule. Currently, the award-winning country star is working hard to promote her latest album, ’100 Proof,’ which she created with Sony Nashville before splitting with the label. Although the record has received lots of critical praise, Pickler went on record about the experience recently, saying that the entire recording process was inconsistent. Without a promotional team to help her shop the record, Pickler is hitting the road this year to promote ’100 Proof’ on her own.

As if that’s not enough pressure, the ‘Tough’ singer also made time to pose for a Maxim magazine cover in order to thank our troops for their service. Pickler spent time in the Middle East this summer on her fifth international USO tour.

Luckily, she still has time for other appearances like ABC’s ‘The Chew.’ Set your DVR for Thursday August 16 at 1PM ET to see what the talented songstress can do with some kitchen utensils.
