There is one thing that people in Western New York love to do any day of the week, and time of the year. That is good or throw a good party.

Now, this Friday is going to be a big party day in Western New York. It has nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills, or a snow day it has to do with the official drink of Dyngus Day.

This Friday is National Krupnik Day. Krupnik is a traditional sweet alcoholic drink that is usually made with a grain spirit like vodka and sweetened with honey.  Krupnik is popular in Poland and here in Buffalo because of the number of Polish Americans who live in Western New York.

So if you didn't have the chance to celebrate "Halfway to Dyngus Day" last Saturday, October 8th, make plans to celebrate National Krupnik Day this Friday, October 14th.

Plus you can celebrate with a Krupnik that is made here in Buffalo. Buffalo Distrilley has made an award-winning Krupnik right here in Buffalo on Seneca Street. The Krupnik is their flagship spirit and is the world's first platinum award-winning, Krupnik. Buffalo Distillery sells its Krupnik under the "One Foot Cock" label.

Another local company can also make a Krupnik right here in Buffalo. Yoga Pants Spirits produces their Busia's East Side, Polonia Krupnik at their facilities at 97 Buffalo China Road in East Buffalo.

So this Friday, go out and celebrate National Krupnik Day with some Buffalo-made Krupniks.
