Now, according to WGRZ Weather, a lake effect snow band is expected to move into Buffalo metro and even as far north as Niagara County on Wednesday morning, before settling back into the southtowns and southern tier later in the day.

Snowfall rates should be a few inches in Buffalo with up to 8 inches areas south of the city; since the band will be moving, super heavy accumulation might be spare us - as in, over a foot of snow.

Snowfall rates will be an inch an hour so prepare for bad driving conditions for Wednesday.

Our fairly snowy December continues!
