Legendary Buffalo performer Lance Diamond, who passed away suddenly will be honored at Kleinhans Music Hall during a tribute for him starting at 6 PM.

Buffalo musical acts will be helping out in the celebration of Lance, including the Goo Goo Dolls. According to the Buffalo News, Robby Takac said:

Perhaps the lesson he taught us that made the most impact was this – your fans and the people who participate in what you do, they are the ones who matter, and they mean everything. He’d tell us that whether you’re performing for three people or 30,000, you give the same, and you give it appreciatively. We’ve never forgotten that. And we saw Lance live it. He loved Buffalo and Western New York.”

The tribute Friday is free and is first come, first serve.

A wake is scheduled at 11 AM Saturday for Lance and the public is invited as well.

“We loved him, and he taught us so much,” Takac said.
