There is a massive time capsule that is buried in Western New York and officals know where it is buried--kind of, but they probably aren't going to be able to dig it up in New York State.

There was a car in the year 1975 that was packed with stuff from the year--magazines, medicine, newspapers. TONS OF STUFF. But, they can't dig it up. There is a group that is trying too, but it is apparently on land owned by New York State and Artpark?

"Did you know that 50 years ago this September, at Peach Festival time, there was a time capsule buried somewhere in Artpark? In 1975 a group called Ant Farm buried an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser covered in tar and filled with 30 suitcases packed with consumer goods such as cigarettes, condoms, and magazines from Reader’s Digest to Playboy.
The intention was to uncover it in the year 2000, but that never happened, supposedly due to environmental concerns. As far as I know, it's still there, and the original artists are long deceased, so there it sits, buried underground with no plans to remove it. Probably all turned to mush and rust and dust."

We were talking earlier about how all of the kids in New York State are headed back to school and how parents have started doing virtual time capsules. There are two pretty cool ideas:

1.) On this first day of school, you put your kid in front of a camera and tape them answering simple, easy questions: what they love doing, who their friends are, and what they want to be when they grow up. Then you do that every single year until they graduate, and it makes for a great memory.

2.) You have all of your family and friends write your kids 'words of encouragement on the first day and sign their name, that way they have their signature and something FROM all of their loved ones that they can keep forever.
