Liz’s Kitchen: Bubble Up Sloppy Joe Casserole Recipe
This is a great spin on the classic sloppy joe! It keeps the sloppy intact but helps keep the mess at bay! It's quick to whip up and you can still feel like you're not cooking out of a packet! This is a delicious meal for a week night or to take over for a family gathering or party! The recipe was found on the Plain Chicken website.
Bubble Up Sloppy Joe Casserole
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 can (12oz) Grands flaky biscuits
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Pre-heat your oven to 350 and pull out all of your ingredients.
In a large skillet, cook your ground beef and then drain the remaining fat.
Add your ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and salt and stir in to the meat. Then let simmer for 5 minutes and remove from the heat and put it in a mixing bowl.
Cut biscuits in half and then the halves into quarters and add them to the meat mixture and toss.
Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray and pour the mixture in to the pan and then top with the cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes and pull out and enjoy! This recipe serves 6!
