We're going way back to find some good down home recipes! When my grandma passed we took her recipe box and copied every recipe in there. We all had our favorites but I didn't realize how many recipes I didn't know about! I was looking through the recipes the other day and I saw the slaw recipe and HAD to try it! I love coleslaw and was nervous that I wouldn't like it but there was nothing to worry about! This recipe is so easy and can be made with things that you have in your pantry! The only thing I had to get from the store was the cabbage. Great Grammy had me shredding a head of cabbage myself but it's 2018 and I can buy it already shredded. LOL

Get ready to fall in love with the recipe!

Mix in with cabbage or slaw mixture. Start with half the bag and then add more of the cabbage until you get to your desired consistency.  I bought one bag was just a little too much for the amount of dressing.

Let slaw sit for a little while to really soak it all up. I actually found the slaw tasted better the second day.

I can't wait to try more recipes from the box. My grandma would always tell me stories of some of her mom's recipes and I think I have most of them. If they're anything like this recipe I think I'm in for a treat!
