I have to admit that I didn't find this recipe and I was pretty much the sous chef for this sweet treat. It is a fun treat but will take a bit of time! With a chocolate chip peanut butter cookie dough no bake filling it does make the first step pretty easy. Then melt your chocolate in a double boiler and get to dippin'! It can be done in a day and would make a sweet treat for the kids class or your coworkers! Bottom line it's making it ok to eat cookie dough and who can complain about that?!?! The recipe found from Oh My Goodness and it looks like they have plenty of desserts to go around!

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Valentine Truffles

1/4 cup unsalted butter-softened
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/8 cup peanut butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
7 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 cup mini chocolate chip morsels
10 oz semi sweet baking chocolate for dipping
1.5 oz white chocolate for garnish
A few drops of pink or red food colors

The process is actually pretty simple, it just takes a little time. Once you mix up the inside of the truffle you need to press it into an 8X8 dish lined with parchment paper. Once done with pop it in the fridge for awhile. You can take a long break or just while you melt the chocolate.

Once you take filling out of the fridge start cutting out the heart shapes with the cookie cutter. Take the excess and mush it all back together and keep making hearts till you can't anymore! Next you're ready to start dipping!

When melting chocolate I prefer a double boiler because it just gives me one less thing I can mess up. If you don't have one it's pretty simple to make one...it's what I do! Once your chocolate is melted grab the hearts and place them one at a time on the fork and put in the chocolate to coat. Tap the fork to get the excess chocolate off and then place back on the parchment paper.

Once all of your hearts are done place back in the fridge to chill. The next step is your decorative chocolate. Melt your white chocolate and then add your food coloring. Place into cake decorating bag and then go to town. It's not as easy as it seems!
