If You Love Dubai Bars, You Need This Dessert In Western New York

Dubai Bars have become a viral sensation online. But if you've had a hard time getting your hands on one, there's a new dessert that could fill the void for you.

My sister in law came back to Buffalo a couple of weeks ago and along with all of the things she wanted to do while she was in town, she mentioned that she was hoping to try a Dubai Bar. She heard you could find them around here in Western New York. At the time, I'd never heard of them, but they're huge on TikTok. People have been losing their minds trying to get their hands on them.

What is a Dubai Bar?

Dubai Bars are obviously a treat from Dubai. It's a chocolate bar that's filled with what looks like a green pistachio filling that's mixed with Tahini. It's also got a crunch to it thanks to the crispy kataifi. Then it's all wrapped up in a casing of milk chocolate.

While there are a few places in Western New York that will have them in stock sometimes, they aren't easy to find. Even if you do, they aren't terribly cheap. They're pretty expensive. But I found something that could fill the void for you. It's a Dubai Sundae and I found it right here in Western New York.

Where to get a Dubai Sundae

This Sundae is two scoops of ice cream. One scoop is chocolate and the other is pistachio. There's also crispy kataifi, a chocolate crunch in the bottom, chocolate sprinkles, and a chocolate shell. You can also get strawberries and salted pistachios on top. I went for the pistachios but skipped the strawberries and had them add a cherry and some hot fudge in addition to the chocolate shell.

I found it at The Springville Dairy right in Springville, NY. Their address is 84 Main Street, but the actual window is around the corner on Franklin Street. We've been going here since we were kids but it's been awhile since we've been back.

It was incredible. I'm not normally the kind of person to try new things all that often, but this was completely worth it. All the flavors mixed perfectly and the pistachio ice cream made all the difference.

Plus...it wasn't nearly as expensive as a real Dubai Bar!
