Major Changes On Transit As Businesses Close Their Doors

Back in the day my dad used to tell us how much of Transit road was really just farmlands and open spaces. They live over in Lancaster' and when the brand new top's supermarket went in on transit road and French that was such a big deal.

Flash forward 20 years and you saw businesses and restaurants being put in front of other restaurants and businesses on transit road. In fact, it was getting so busy I remember there was talks that they were going to widen transit road at one point.

Yesterday was a sad day when we learned on Facebook that Brennan's Bowery Bar over in in Williamsville was officially closing its doors. Why is Brennan's closing? They mention that financial reason because of the COVID pandemic. You can go to Brennan's one last time tomorrow night and you can bet that it is going to be extremely busy tonight. But, they are not alone. The landscape is changing and it is getting harder and harder to survive in the restaurant world.

This comes on the heels of Forestview acknowledging that they are going to eventually close as well to make room for mixed use spaces and apartments.

The conversation brought up others bringing up restaurants and businesses that have closed on transit road in the past year or so. What other ones can you think of?
