I hear it all the time. People getting sad when the days get much shorter during the fall and early winter.

Well, there's now a major push to keep Daylight Saving Time this year.

According to WKBW, Florida Senators Rick Rubio and Rick Scott are making a push to keep Daylight Saving Time during the pandemic.

The plan is to introduce the legislation in time to keep Daylight Saving Time through November 7th, 2021.

This year's Daylight Saving Time is scheduled to end on Sunday, November 1st.

“After months of staying inside amid the coronavirus pandemic, families across the nation could use a little more sunshine and time to enjoy all that Florida has to offer… I’m glad to join Senator Rubio to lead this effort in Congress,” Scott said in a statement.

Lawmakers approved to keep Daylight Saving Time in Florida in 2018 but it must be approved by Congress.

Believe it or not, legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent has been introduced in many states.

I think many people would love this plan, although I've grown used to having it be dark very early around the holidays, so that would be a little weird at first for sure.

We'll see if this gets approved.
