Details are still being collected in to the cause of an accident that claimed the life of a man from Western New York who died Saturday while skydiving.The incident took place in a field late Saturday afternoon or early evening.

The Orleans County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Erick Miller who was skydiving with a group from WNY Skydiving. The sheriff's office reports that the accident took place near Pask Road in Medina.

According to a report filed by OrleansHub.com, the victim was an experienced skydiving instructor with over 700 civilian jumps. Witnesses report that the victim and another skydiver, both members of the WNY Sky Diving Club, left the Pine Hill Airport and made what is referred to as a “Sport Jump”  at about 7 p.m.

As of Monday morning, the investigation is ongoing.
