[WATCH] Massive Elk Encounter Near New York State
There is animal preserve that is a short drive from New York State that offers you the chance to get feed and see some of North America's most beautiful and majestic animals. This is a place where massive elk, moose, bear, whitetail deer and even wolves wander and your family can get closer to them than ever before. Parc Omega is a 12 kilometer safari trail and it is amazing.
As the fall sets in, the cooler air is here and the bull elk are sounding off like crazy. Their bugle can be heard from miles away on a crisp and clear day and it is one of the most chilling and thrilling sounds you can hear in the wild. Here in New York State, there are not many, if any, elk wandering in the woods. For years, people have hoped to see elk make a comeback in the Empire State. But until that day comes, there are ways to experience them and learn about them.

We took a family road trip to Quebec, Canada and among the amazing things that we got to see and do was a trip through Parc Omega in Montebello, QC.
Feed The Massive Elk!
After you buy a good stash of carrots at the general store/gift shop, the safari begins! As soon as you enter the gates, your car is swarmed with elk! I have to admit, I was not prepared to see as many elk at once and certainly did not think I would be feeding a cow elk with her head INSIDE the car. After you enter fully, the trip around Parc Omega is lengthy and filled with a large variety of animals and good number of each species.
Your kids will love this! Just beware, the animals get as close to your vehicle as they can and if your car is brand new, you may want to leave that one at home.
