There is another recall that has been posted for a certain car here in New York State. This follows a year filled with shortages and recalls.

It was just this week that we learned about milk cartons being in short supply, and some school having to adjust for how to distribute their milk in cafeterias. Thankfully, the milk supply appears to be good. It is just the packaging that is being affected.

But the latest recall, is from Toyota and it involves the Rav 4. Toyota announced yesterday that it was issuing a recall on almost 1.9-million RAV4 small SUVs to fix a battery problem.

ABC News is reporting that:

The recall covers certain RAV4s from the 2013 through 2018 model years. Toyota said in a statement that some replacement 12-volt batteries used in the SUVs have smaller top dimensions than others. If the hold-down clamp is not tightened properly, the battery could move, allowing the positive terminal to contact the clamp and short circuit, the company said.

I am not sure if it is that we live in a fast and readily available news cycle or not. But it seems that we seem to have more things being recalled than ever. Companies are getting in front of these things faster to avoid lawsuits.
