Massive Change is Annoying at All Grocery Stores in New York State

Have you noticed that all of this has changed at every grocery store?

One of the biggest problems that grocery stores are having is the theft that is happening. All of the grocery stores have cameras, but a lot of the major grocery store chains, like Wegmans in New York State has anti-theft workers. They have workers who will look for people who seem to be stealing. There are stories of people just loading up their shopping carts with so many items and then walking right out of the store with the shopping cart. They alert police and most times the police will come and arrest the people trying to leave the parking lot.

What are grocery stores going to do to try and combat the theft? Locking up basic necessities. 

There has been a big change at grocery stores all over New York State. There have been so many common items that are now "locked up" at the store and you need an employee to unlock them. The items are either behind a case or have a lock box around them.

Laundry soap, condoms, vitamins and toothpaste are all things that are locked up at the store. What else have you seen locked up?

It is a reflection of how expensive things have gotten in the past few years. People cannot afford items and are desperate for these basic necessities so they resort to stealing.
