There is yet another recall that has been announced that is for a popular eye drop sold in New York State.

The new year will be here soon and this year has been busy for health officials and consumer protection agencies as there seems to have been more recalls than normal.

But the latest alert has people tossing a certain brand of eye drops because of fungal issues.

According to recent news, the recall impacts Systane eye drops.

"Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF, Single Vials On-the-Go, 25 count: Lot 10101, which expires in September 2025".

Just over a year ago, there was a similar recall for an eye drop brand.

How exactly is a recall determined? Pilawyers.com reported that "The FDA recalls products that are harmful, defective or not compliant with FDA rules or regulations. It uses a three-tier system to determine the seriousness of a complaint".
