There was word this week that Buy Buy Baby may be actually not be closing it's doors after all. There are some companies that are trying to acquire Buy Buy Baby.

There MAY be some good news. Recent reports indicate that Buy Buy Baby could possibly survive the bankruptcy it had previously been a part of.

CNBC has reported an online competitor -- Babylist -- and an unnamed retail group have expressed interest in buying part or all of Buy Buy Baby's assets.

There have also been discussions to sell the retailer to the private-equity firm behind the children’s apparel brand Janie and Jack, The Wall Street Journal reported this week.
