The National Rifle Association has a new president elect. Former Marine Corps Colonel, Oliver North has been elected as the organizations newest president.

According to Metro Source News:

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North is the NRA's new president. In a statement, NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre said, "This is the most exciting news for our members since Charlton Heston became President of our Association." North is currently a Fox News contributor, but is expected to leave that role "in a matter of weeks."
