If you missed out on getting a pair of the special pair of glasses to watch the solar eclipse with, you can opt to watch a live stream of the eclipse on Facebook.

"On August 21st, the United States will experience the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse in 99 years, making this the most important astronomical event in the social media era," a Facebook representative told Business Insider in an email.

NASA will stream a 360-degree video of the eclipse - no glasses needed. Stream is a newer, interactive video feed service that we don't plan to embed here, but you can access it for free at at eclipse.stream.live on the day of the total solar eclipse.
