
Massive Moose Sighting in New York State is Breathtaking
The moose sightings in New York state are on the rise as the warmer weather has come and more people are out in the woods.
Moose are no stranger to New York State and there are tons of sightings especially in upstate New York that are breathtaking and incredible. How many moose are actually in New York state? Not that many they are certainly are some that gets spotted in the woods. Experts think that there are approximately 800 living in upstate New York.
Right now moose have likely just had their babies in New York State. Most Bull moose will look for a mate in the fall and then the gestation period typically less until May and June. Therefore, is very important that if you see a moose in the wild in New York state you do not approach it, especially because you do not know that might be a baby nearby.

Last year there was a very interesting situation with a moose that was not doing well that was not moving from a path in the Adirondacks mountains. The moose was startling hikers as they walked by because it was just laying there for weeks and weeks before New York State department of conservation officials decided that the moose had to be euthanized. After a lot of monitoring the New York State officials made the call after they realized that animal was very sick but the story got tons of attention of the moose in New York State.
