Over the past two years, there have been many businesses who have been forced to close its doors; whether it be temporarily or for good, as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was in full swing.

Some of the closures have not been because of the pandemic, but it's still sad when local places in Western New York, especially the restaurant and bar industry, which has gone through a very rough past two-plus years.

Buffalo and Western New York is one of the best places in the entire country for local pizza and according to one report, there's a popular pizzeria which will be closing this week.

According to Niagara Action, they have sources which say that Mr. Ventry's Pizzeria on Pierce Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY will be closing its doors for good on Wednesday, October 5th.

This location has been a longtime place for pizza with Niagara Falls locals but it appears will be closing its doors for good this week.

Mr. Ventry's also has a location on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls, NY, but it looks like that location will remain open.

For as many pizzerias as there are in Western New York, there is also many which have since closed. There are so many past pizzerias in the Buffalo region which we remember going to but have closed for whatever reason, dating back to the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and into the 2000s.

I have quite a few places I miss that were located in Western New York, including Sgt. Pepperoni's in Depew.
