Nashville Notes – Kacey and Taylor Feud, Chris Stapleton Joins John Mayer On-Stage

Phew, it looks like we have avoided a feud between Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift. Over the weekend Kid Rock posted a pretty gross tweet about Taylor, and it appeared that Kacey “liked” the tweet. First Kacey said she was hacked, and then said a screenshot of her liking Kid Rock’s tweet was photoshopped. Either way, Kacey says she absolutely did not like the tweet, and she and Taylor are all good.

Garth Brooks is getting ready for the second stop on his Dive Bar tour. Thursday he’ll play at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace in Bakersfield California, which -- fun fact, is where he and Trisha Yearwood got engaged. There’s still five more dates to come on the tour, and no word yet on the next location.

Guitarist and singer John Mayer was playing in Nashville last week, and he called up Chris Stapleton to ask if he wanted to sit in and play the show with him. Chris says OK, but first we’re going to write a new song to do. So, last Wednesday they wrote a song called "I Just Remembered That I Didn't Care" . . . and on Thursday, they performed it live.

And finally, it looks like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are done. The couple has been together for over 10 years, married for the last 8 months, but had a history of being on and off over the years. It’s not a rumor, Miley’s rep confirmed the split, and yesterday photos of Miley kissing Brody Jenner’s Ex girlfriend on a yacht in italy surfaced online.
