Nationwide Driver Ryan Truex Visits The Fair

Each year the Erie County Fair invites an up and coming NASCAR driver to the fair and this year it was Ryan Truex - the younger brother of Martin Truex, Jr.  Ryan is running a part-time schedule in the Nationwide Series but did race at Watkins Glen on Saturday and finished 15th.

Unfortunately for Truex his finish wasn't the big news - his start was.  He slid thru the grass on the first corner of the first lap and collided with Danica Patrick.  That crash put her out of the race and she finished 43rd - the worst finish of her career.

Patrick dismissed it as racing.  At the fair on Sunday Truex called it the worst race of his career.

There was a long line of fans waiting for him when he got to the Nationwide Insurance display and he obliged the fans with autographs and pictures.
