It is always a treat to get to see up-and-coming artists pass through town. It is even better when we can treat our listeners to a great lunch and a private show with the stars of tomorrow.

New artist Leah Turner came through Western New York this week and played for a small group of WYRK listeners at BW's Smokin Barrels BBQ. We were able to capture the "eat & greet" on video to share with all of you that couldn't make it!

It was great meeting Leah! She has such a powerful voice. One listener referred to her sound as "Miranda Lambert meets Taylor Swift." I would say that she has a bluesy yet traditional country vibe. Mix that with a great personality, and it makes for the right combination for success in this industry.

Leah not only has a great voice, she also has the creative ability to write her own songs and is quick to point out that the lyrics are based on her own life's experiences.
