New ‘Chief’ In Town — Eric Church Wins Album Of The Year [VIDEO]

Tonight was a big night for Eric Church. Church took home Album of the Year for 'Chief', beating out Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan and Little Big Town.

He's becoming country music elite with his "outlaw" style, which, also found him singing on ACM Vocal Event of the Year with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan -- "The Only Way I Know".

Church heard his named called for Album of the Year by Miranda Lambert and CCR frontman John Fogerty.

"I can't believe I just met John Fogerty," Church said when he took the stage for his speech. "We should hang out later."

Eric, for the first time ever on national television, ditched his signature dirty baseball cap and aviators and stripped down to do an acoustic performance of "Like Jesus Does".
